Common Questions About Our Plans
Do I supply my own AI API credentials?
OpenClawBotHosting takes care of infrastructure — you plug in your own AI provider key. We work with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and self-hosted options like Ollama or llama.cpp on GPU hardware. Each messaging channel (WhatsApp Business, Discord bot, etc.) also requires its own platform credentials.
What exactly does BYOS mean?
BYOS stands for Bring Your Own Server. You provision a VPS or dedicated machine from any cloud provider — DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner, AWS, Akamai, or even bare metal — and we orchestrate the OpenClaw stack on it. Everything stays on hardware you control.
What hardware specs are recommended?
A baseline of 2 vCPU cores, 2 GB RAM, and 20 GB disk will handle most workloads. If you plan to run local LLMs, budget for a GPU-equipped machine. We publish sizing guides tailored to each supported provider.
How is a bot instance defined?
One bot instance equals one running OpenClaw deployment. That single instance can bridge multiple channels — Discord, Slack, Telegram, and others — at the same time.
Is it possible to switch plans?
Absolutely. Upgrade or downgrade whenever you need to. Plan changes apply right away, and billing is prorated so you only pay for what you use.
What happens if I cancel?
You can end your subscription at any point. Service continues through the remainder of your current billing cycle — no surprise charges.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We process payments through Stripe, supporting all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal.
Do annual subscriptions come with a discount?
They do — choosing an annual plan saves you 20% compared to paying month-by-month.
